NC DPI Secondary Update
Johannah Maynor, NCDPI Secondary Consultant
Dr. Jennifer Curtis, NCDPI Math Section Chief

In Middle School Math codes in PowerSchool must be adapted and used to correctly identify the courses.  The Math I code would be 2103 2X0.  The "X" used to be a "Y" to designate that this was a high school course offered in middle school. However, in PowerSchool this will need to be changed to be an X.  If we used a "Y" code then the student would not receive high school credit.  According to the update, a separate code will be used to show that the course was taught in middle school.
